Exclusive News | A Nigerian lady kills her husband in a food argument

A Nigerian woman stubbed her abusive husband to death yesterday afternoon in a fried rice fight. According to the police report Biola, they wife used a kitchen knife to stub her husband while in an argument. Biola and her husband have been married for four years but got lucky to have a child four months ago. According to Biola's narration the two have been livin together all this time althought they are not officially married( not wedded). Her husband has been coming home drunk and beating her for flimsy reasons. Things between them got nastier when she got pregnant. Her husbands drinking increased and would often mistreat her despite her state.

One night her husband returned home late and drunk and accused her of infidelity. Her also told her he had rumors that she was planning to food poison him. Biola said she frequently reported her husbands actions to her mother and siblings but they could not help her.
The incident that led to the argument started back in her parents home in Somolo where she takes her baby for post-natal. Her husband called her on the fateful day to tell her he was broke so she should find her money for the weekend. She left and started cooking fried rice when she got home. When her husband returned he was as usual drunk and did not like what was being cooked. She jokingly called him a bush man and an arguement ensued.

While they were arguing a neighbor who sells drinks came to collect her money which her husband owed her. She was in the processing of giving the neighbor money while holding a knife which she was granting carrots with. Her husband then slapped her and in anger she stabbed him with the knife on his chick. Blooding was oozing out profusely that she and some neighbors had to rush him to a nearby hospital.

At the hospital the doctor revealed to her that the cut on her husband was not so deep so she was released to go home to look after their child. Early the next morning she was woke up with news of the death of her husband.

Biola was arrested by the local police after the case was reported. Biola who posses one degree from Ibadal Poly insisted she killed her husband by mistake/ unintentional and she pleaded for mercy for the sake of their child.
